The Artist - Emma Wright
My background is in textiles giving me a love of mixed media, texture, colour and mark making. I taught Art, Graphics and Photography, recently focussing on my own work.
I am inspired by the Devon landscape, my work starting from observation but changing through the effect of layers, textures and colours to create a feeling of place. Using varied media, from acrylic on canvas to Lino print, etching and collage ,exploring mood, light and atmosphere. I have exhibited at Delamore Arts, Birdwood House, Aga Kubish Gallery, Green Hill Arts, Bovey Paradiso, as well as Bens farm shop Yealmpton, Wills cafe Ashburton and a variety of pop ups.
