The Artist - Zoe Singleton SWS
My work is frequently described as "Romantic, poetic and lyrical". All my letter carving is hand drawn as a response to the words, these reveal "the hand of the artist", in contrast with static formulaic lettering, as a result each I create piece is unique. Graduating from Goldsmiths’ London, I pursued a career with large companies before running an events business in Devon. My long-standing passion for geology led me to carving stone and formed the perfect link between art and geology. Inspiration for sculpture comes from natures patterns and botanical forms and is informed by my drawing. I have recently from moved from Devon to the Tamar Valley where I am developing a new studio and teaching space and enjoying exploring the landscape here.
